Now that I finally have a place to post, I would like to acknowledge a couple of people within the Rails community who have helped and continue to help me develop Cokemachineglow.

First and foremost, I would like to thank Courtenay for donating SVN hosting. This has been a big help and comfort to me as I continue to make mistakes and deviations, and revert them!

Secondly, though he came and went rather quickly, I also owe the debt of gratitude to Erik Rennard, whose advice on architecture has not only helped me create a managable solution for CMG, but also helped me to better understand design patterns.

So here is the new site. I am running on Typo 2.5 and it seems to be everything Tobias has had us anticipating. Once I get the hang of templating it, I will be setting up a moblog at Cokemachineglow. Other things I plan to do in the future: calendar sidebar for Typo. If you have any ideas for it, let me know.

Also, if you want my hack for displaying a random quote for the tagline, drop me a line. I haven’t figured out how to prevent it from caching yet. I might make an AJAX request pull it in.
